Couple years ago I’ve been reading the book «Shantaram» and thought that never ever I go to India. But now I am here and still can not believe in it. Already 3 weeks as I’m exploring this amazing country of contrast in everything. For now I want to share the beautiful Agra Fort, which I’ve visited in early morning and met the sunrise there. No people around, just me, rising sun and indescribable marble.
If you’re not super fun of food or architecture and probably short of money I would suggest to visit EXPO in the evening from 19:00 till 23:00, because the price for this ticket is 5 euro and 4 hours is enough to have an impression of such a huge event, try some simple food and visit at least 7 pavilions, because some of them work till closing.
I want to share some moments of EXPO and start with Italian pavilion, of course!
But first pavilion, which I’ve visited, was Russian one, cz I’m Russian. There you can try delicious Russian food.
Next to Russian pavilion is Estonian one and both together they look nice
Well, there are some more, I need to come back to EXPO, because I love food and architecture as well and for me 4 hours were just nothing!
The ticket you can buy right at EXPO (when you get off the metro or train in a ticket office) and it is better to come a bit earlier (around 6 p.m.), because there will be a super long line to get in the EXPO in the evenings and especially at weekend, so be ready to be patient enough to wait and probably to get inside around 7:30 p.m.
Some people get bored in Milan (I have no idea how it is possible) and don’t know what to do and where to go. I would suggest to visit open air museum, which is the Monumental Cemetery of Milan.
This place is really impressive, espessialy if you go there in dark rainy day, but I had no depressive feelings about, maybe because I’ve been there in a nice a sunny day.
There are so many different and beautiful sculptures, so it’s almost impossible sometimes to consider as a cemetry!
If you are interested to visit, you need to know that they close the gates 30 minutes prior to closing time and Monday is a day off. Opening hours from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m. For me less than 1 hour was enough, but I’d like to come back.
If you’re visiting Milano, but not fun of touristic places, I would recommend you to visit roof of Duomo anyway, because the view from the top of the main cathedral is really amazing and only from the top you can realize how beautiful Duomo and how Milano is lovely!
There are two ways to go up — by stairs (11 euro) or lift (15 euro) with included Duomo museum, archaeological site undeground Duomo and Duomo itself, of course.
I’m a russian girl, love and hate, desire to travel all around the world and do not regret in future that I have not done something. I’m an architect, but now doing my master, because I got scholarship from DAAD.
Just about life and everyday routine. About small trips and architecture.
Must be boring!)
